El municipi de Roquetes ja té ‘Roquetenc de l’Any’. Aquest 2022, un dels guardons més cèlebres que atorga el consistori ha anat a parar a la seva Associació de Dones, fundada l’any 1995. L’entrega l’han fet coincidir amb la diada de Sant Jordi per tal de complementar tota una jornada de festa amb colofó final. El reconeixement s’atorga, en les edicions que així coincideix, a les entitats que celebren un quart de segle, però més enllà d’això, el consistori ha volgut destacar la gran tasca del col·lectiu en l’organització d’activitats i la dinamització cultural del municipi, ja que han organitzat, al llarg de la seva història, ininterrompudament activitats ben diverses com classes per a aprendre nous conceptes o balls fins a tallers. Això posiciona l’agrupació com una de les més dinàmiques de tot el Baix Ebre. Malgrat tot, els preocupa el relleu generacional, que és el seu major repte de futur. Fins i tot, durant la pandèmia, l’Associació de Dones de Roquetes va fer un pas endavant en iniciar una campanya totalment altruista i de voluntariat per a abastir de mascaretes d’ús personal als veïns i veïnes.
