La població de cabra salvatge als Ports ha disminuït entre un 5% i un 8% a causa d’un canvi de l’entorn i, mínimament, pel brot de sarna detectat al desembre de 2014. El departament d’Agricultura vol treballar ara per intensificar les mesures que permetin recuperar l’hàbitat de cabra salvatge a la zona. El director dels serveis territorials d’Agricultura, Ferran Grau, ha explicat que la idea és intentar recuperar algunes zones antigues de pastures i que s’assemblin a les dels anys 80, quant als Ports hi havia una abundant població de cabres, fins a 6.000 animals. En tot cas, Grau ha reconegut que la sarna s’anirà estenent, però ho farà de forma lenta i amb una baixa afectació en la població de cabres. Grau ha remarcat que la recuperació de pastures no només serà beneficiós per les cabres salvatges sinó també pels porcs senglars. La Plataforma d’Afectats per la Hipoteca (PAH) a les Terres de l’Ebre ha celebrat ja quatre anys d’activitat. Una de les membres de la PAH Ebre, Claudia Cervesato, va detallar que durant aquest temps, han aconseguit 100 dacions en pagament, suspendre fins a 37 desnonaments i assessorar més de 500 famílies al territori. Tot i que darrerament la PAH no té tant de seguiment mediàtic, Cervesato assegura que la situació segueix igual i ha reclamat compromisos legals i polítics per tirar endavant una llei que garanteixi el dret a un habitatge digne. L’alcalde de Roquetes, Francesc Gas, ha detallat que l’accés ha estat complicat però que l’actuació ràpida de dos avionetes ha permès evitar que el foc es propagués. No hi ha hagut cap ferit però el foc ha obligat a evacuar preventivament sis persones de dues finques rústiques. Una quinzena de treballadors i representants sindicals de COO s’han concertat des de les set de la matinada a les portes de l’empresa Padesa d’Amposta però el piquet pràcticament no ha actuat perquè aparentment aquest dos dies l’empresa no efectua cap activitat productiva. Sigui com sigui el sindicat valora molt positivament el seguiment que la convocatòria de vaga.
