S’abordaran temes com la memòria democràtica, la revolució russa, la guerra freda o les migracions. El codirector de FRONT, Oriol Gracià, va recordar l’objectiu de la mostra. En aquest poble francès, que acull l’Ateneu Republicà de Narbona, reposa l’últim alcalde republicà de Roquetes, Joan Castells “l’Àguedo”, exiliat a França i que va morir el 1944. Els alcaldes d’ambdós municipis van descobrir la nova senyalització d’agermanament a l’entrada de Roquetes i també van signar l’acta oficial. La celebració del 14 d’abril també va incloure l’acte de reconeixement Roquetenc de l’any 2024 a l’Associació de Jubilats i Pensionistes de Roquetes, per la celebració del seu 40è aniversari. Es tracta de les accions guanyadores dels pressupostos participatius de 2024. En el cas de l’escola, s’ha creat una nova zona d’ombra al pati infantil amb la plantació de 13 moreres i un plataner. També s’ha reparat el paviment, s’han renovat els sorrals, repintat els murets i col·locat noves jardineres de fusta. Pel que fa a la pista poliesportiva de la Raval de Cristo, des d’ara no només es podrà jugar a futbol sala sinó també a bàsquet. En concret, s’han instal·lat dues cistelles. També s’han repintat les línies de joc, s’han reparat les porteries i el muntatge de noves xarxes. L’Ajuntament de Roquetes ja es troba a punt per a engegar una nova edició dels pressupostos participatius, corresponents a l’any 2025. Una iniciativa que se suma a la del ‘Cafè amb l’alcalde’, amb la voluntat de mantenir un contacte directe amb el veïnat.
