Es tracta de la Jornada monogràfica anual que els organitzadors dediquen a un dels molts aspectes que giren entorn del Patrimoni Etnològic de les Terres de l'Ebre. En aquesta edició el tema és el Teatre popular, un àmbit que a les Terres de l'Ebre té, encara avui, una gran vitalitat. Algunes de les seues peces tenen arrels molt antigues: pastorets, passions, processons, balls parlats, balls de diables, vides i miracles dels sants, etc. i altres són de molt recent creació, tot i que s'ajusten bé a la tradició, perquè reconstrueixen les formes de vida populars més tradicionals i perquè tenen també una clara voluntat lúdica i pedagògica. La conferència marc i les cinc comunicacions del programa en conformen una bona mostra. Unes són de caràcter profà i altres religiós, n'hi ha d'autor conegut i altres són anònimes.
