La protectora Progat Tortosa ha denunciat la falta d’un protocol clar a l’Ajuntament de Roquetes per a la recollida de gats abandonats. Els fets que han desencadenat la queixa de Progat van produir-se el 17 de maig, quan una voluntària de l’entitat va trobar una capsa amb tres gats menuts en una illa de contenidors de la zona del Galatxo. Després de parlar la Policia Local, la portaveu de Progat Tortosa, Dora Casadó, assegura que la protectora ARCA no estava realitzant la recollida de gats abandonats, com sí que fa amb els gossos. Durant una entrevista a Canal 21 Ebre, Casadó ha afirmat que finalment els gats van ser recollits per Progat Roquetes, tot i que per conveni no té este servei acordat amb l’Ajuntament roquetenc. I és que l’acord amb Progat Roquetes és per a la gestió de les colònies de gats que hi ha al municipi, i no per la recollida dels gats abandonats. Per això, la portaveu de Progat Tortosa ha demanat un protocol clar per a la Policia Local de Roquetes. Per la seua banda, l’alcalde de Roquetes, Ivan Garcia Maigí, ha negat que l’Ajuntament no es faci càrrec dels gats abandonats. Garcia Maigí assegura que es fa una gestió correcta dels animals abandonats, i que la Policia Local s’encarrega de recollir els animals i traslladar-los a unes dependències municipals. El consistori fa difusió a través de les xarxes socials i en molts casos troben els propietaris o cases d’acollida. En el cas contrari, els animals es traslladen a la protectora Arca. El regidor no adscrit de l’Ajuntament de Roquetes, Ximo Llopis, ha criticat la presència del llaç groc en l’escenari del Tradicionàrius. Durant l’últim ple ordinari, el 30 d’agost passat, Llopis va denunciar que dalt de l’escenari de l’hort de Cruells hi hagués “un símbol feixista català”, en referència al llaç groc “gegant” que hi havia dalt dels músics. Llopis és l’actual coordinador de Valents a les Terres de l’Ebre, i serà l’alcaldable d’este nou partit de centre-dreta a Tortosa, en les eleccions municipals del 2023. Valents és un partit català però constitucionalista, que aplega antics militants i simpatitzants del Partit Popular, Unió Democràtica o Ciutadans. Segons Garcia, la despesa d’electricitat s’ha triplicat, tot i que la instal·lació de plaques fotovoltaiques els permetrà reduir la factura energètica, en uns 200.000 euros. “Estàvem al voltant dels 180.000 euros, i per al 2023 se’ns pressuposten uns 600.000 euros”, ha assenyalat l’alcalde. “La instal·lació de les plaques fotovoltaiques que hem fet als equipaments municipals ens donarà un petit respir, però és un increment molt elevat”, ha lamentat. Per tot plegat, l’alcalde ha rebut positivament que el PSC s’haja ofert a negociar al pressupost, i ha afirmat que està obert a parlar amb tota l’oposició. De fet, ha recordat que l’any passat ja van acordar amb Movem Roquetes la incorporació dels pressupostos participatius.
