                <text>La població de cabra salvatge als Ports ha disminuït entre un 5% i un 8% a causa d’un canvi de l’entorn i, mínimament, pel brot de sarna detectat al desembre de 2014. El departament d’Agricultura vol treballar ara per intensificar les mesures que permetin recuperar l’hàbitat de cabra salvatge a la zona. El director dels serveis territorials d’Agricultura, Ferran Grau, ha explicat que la idea és intentar recuperar algunes zones antigues de pastures i que s’assemblin a les dels anys 80, quant als Ports hi havia una abundant població de cabres, fins a 6.000 animals. Un procés que ha de ser gradual.&#13;
&#13;
En el moment que l’animal recuperi l’aliment i aquest sigui de qualitat, la resta és automàtic. Pel que fa al brot de sarna, Grau ha explicat que la malaltia està avançant a un ritme més lent de l’esperat. Actualment només es sacrifica els animals que tenen sarna a més del 50% del cos i també s’ha alimentat alguns exemplars amb pinso amb ivermectina, un producte antiparasitari. En tot cas, Grau ha reconegut que la sarna s’anirà estenent, però ho farà de forma lenta i amb una baixa afectació en la població de cabres.&#13;
&#13;
Grau ha remarcat que la recuperació de pastures no només serà beneficiós per les cabres salvatges sinó també pels porcs senglars. Un informe de la Universitat Autònoma de Barcelona (UAB) demostra que allí on el paisatge ha canviat i presenta més diferències, més ha canviat la biologia de la cabra. </text>
