Ell, juntament amb Gerard Vergés, van crear la revista literària Gèminis, l’obra de la qual se sent més satisfet. Durant l’homenatge a Vergés, el mateix conseller de Cultura va posar en valor la figura de Massip. La representació de la cultura ebrenca present a l’acte a Barcelona es va sumar a les felicitacions per la Creu de Sant Jordi a Jesús Massip, començant per l’alcalde de Tortosa, ciutat de la qual Massip en va ser l’arxiver. Enguany, el departament de Cultura ha distingit amb la Creu de Sant Jordi 27 personalitats i 15 entitats del país.
