L’ultrafondista Albert Giné ha completat satisfactòriament el repte ‘Non Stop Arrela’t a la vida’ a benefici de la lluita contra el càncer. Dissabte al vespre, a tres quarts de vuit, va arribar a Roquetes, el seu poble i destí final d’una travessa de 1.600 quilòmetres. Giné els ha recorregut a peu des del Far de Finisterre, a Comillas (Galícia) per tal de recaptar diners per al Projecte Emma, una iniciativa ebrenca que busca fons per investigar el càncer de mama. L’expedició va sortir el dia 14 de juliol, a les 6 del matí.
L’han acompanyat els atletes José Escribano, Antonio Esquinas, Isabel Pelegrina i Marc Fernández, que han destacat tota mena d’incidències climatològiques durant la seva travessa com la calor, pedra o inundacions.
Ben aviat donaran a conèixer quina ha estat la xifra recaptada, però de moment, des del Projecte Emma, agraeixen cada passa que ha donat Giné per arribar al repte final d’aconseguir 150.000 euros per a la investigació del càncer de mama. El repte esportiu solidari també ha recaptat productes a benefici del Banc d’Aliments.

Més de 500 persones han participat en la III cursa de la Dona de les Terres de l’Ebre, enguany celebrada a Roquetes. Una carrera tan reivindicativa com solidària, ja que coincidix amb la setmana del Dia Mundial del Càncer de Mama.
Amb la igualtat per bandera, però també amb la vessant principal, la solidària, per lluitar contra el càncer. La cursa, de quatre quilòmetres, enguany s’ha celebrat a Roquetes, després que les dos darreres edicions fossin a Tortosa i a Amposta.
Tots els beneficis han anat a parar en benefici de la Lliga Contra el Càncer.
