Es tracta de l’equip que dóna cobertura a la ciutat de Tortosa, Roquetes i als pobles de Jesús, Aldover, Xerta, Benifallet, Paüls, els Reguers, Raval de Crist, Alfara de Carles i Mas de Barberans. Segons la directora territorial de Salut, Mar Lleixà, es garantiran les visites als matins als consultoris, mentre que a la tarda l’atenció es concentrarà al CAP Baix Ebre i al CAP de Roquetes, i s’incrementarà amb un equip d’atenció domiciliària. Lleixà ha explicat que la mobilitat dels professionals, així com la dificultat de consolidar equips de treball, obliguen a plantejar una reordenació de serveis que parteix d’una proposta del mateix equip de Tortosa Oest. La directora de Salut ha insistit que cal treballar per retenir professionals al territori, però també per atreure’n de nous. Per tot plegat, ha negat que es tracte de cap retallada, sinó d’una mesura que permet garantir una millor atenció als usuaris en situacions com l’actual, de falta de professionals. Des de Salut també s’ha recordat que aquest tipus d’organització ja s’està realitzant a la Terra Alta, Ribera d’Ebre, Montsià i en part del Baix Ebre.
