              <text>L’exalcalde de Roquetes, Mariano Gil, ha fet 80 anys acompanyat de molts amics. Aquest diumenge, el Casal de la Raval de Cristo va reunir més de 200 persones per homenatjar la figura de Gil, alcalde roquetenc durant 24 anys. Va ser un acte que començava i acabava amb aplaudiments a una llarga trajectòria.&#13;
&#13;
Assegut a un ‘chester’ que recordava a un plató de televisió, l’exalcalde va rememorar moltes vivències. Capellà, mestre, sindicalista, alcalde, diputat, però sobretot amic de tothom. Aquesta és la faceta que més han destacat persones com Felip Salvador, company amb qui va fundar el sindicat USTEC; els mestres que van compartir anys d’ensenyament; i companys del PSC amb qui va treballar durant els anys que va ocupar l’alcaldia de Roquetes, del 1983 fins al 2007. En l’actualitat, Gil segueix en plena forma.&#13;
